ISSEY MIYAKE EYES has unveiled its new model, “UROKO.”
Created for the IM MEN SPRING SUMMER 2026 collection “DANCING TEXTURE,” this model was inspired by Shoji Kamoda’sceramic works, which feature distinctive, scale-like patterns.
Through the fusion of advanced 3D printing technology and Japanese craftsmanship,UROKO brings together complex forms and distinctive finely detailed surface finishes.
A total of eight lenses—four on each side—are arranged in sequence to mimic the patterns found in Kamoda’s work. To fit neatly within the compact frame, each lens features a specially engineered concave cut and is finished with exceptional precision.
The frame is treated with an original finishing process that accentuates its textured surface.
Rather than a uniform appearance, each piece reveals subtle variations, creating a perception of depth.
