HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE Exhibition
“Up, Up, and Away, featuring WINDSWEPT PLAID” (Shinjuku, Tokyo)

The gallery SHIKAKU at ISSEY MIYAKE SHINJUKU, on the 2nd floor of Isetan Shinjuku Main Building, presents an exhibition, “Up, Up, and Away, featuring WINDSWEPT PLAID” by HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE.

Fold and Crease (Extended)

Inspired by all that there is about wind, the Spring Summer 2025 collection looks at the phenomena caused by wind, crafts and designs that react to wind, and forms that embody wind. This exhibition introduces WINDSWEPT PLAID, the first look of the collection, and presents other series that use the same print. The print is a plaid that captures the spontaneous movement of wind, created by holding the print in strong wind to let it flutter. The distorted lines represent the motion of the wind, so vividly as though they are still fluttering in the air.

Period: Tuesday, 1 – Wednesday, April 30
Venue: ISSEY MIYAKE SHINJUKU
*During the same period, the CREATION SPACE at ISSEY MIYAKE SEMBA presents a special exhibition, “Grasping the Wind” by HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE.
